Privacy Policy

Percy Solar — Last updated: July 2026

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We have written it in plain English on purpose. If anything is unclear, ask us — contact details are at the bottom.

Percy Solar is operated by Percy Street Digital Pty Ltd (ABN 11 675 209 373), an Australian business. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.

**Two kinds of information we handle**

Percy Solar provides administration services to solar installation businesses. That means we handle two distinct kinds of personal information, and this policy covers both:

Website visitors and business contacts — people who visit this site, fill in a form, or deal with us directly.
Our clients' customers — homeowners and businesses whose details we process on behalf of the solar companies we work for.

**Website visitors and business contacts**

What we collect. When you fill in a form, book a call, or email us, we collect what you provide — typically your name, email address, phone number, business name, and anything you tell us about your business. Like most websites, we also use cookies and similar tools that collect technical information: your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, and how you found us.

Why we collect it. To respond to your enquiry, provide our services, send you information you have asked for, understand how people use our website, show relevant ads to people who have visited our site, and meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. Ever.

**Our clients' customers**

If a solar company you dealt with uses Percy Solar, we may process your information on their behalf to complete the administration behind your installation. This can include your name, address, contact details, electricity meter and connection details, and information about your solar or battery system.

We use this information only to do the job our client engaged us for — things like:

Pre-installation approvals and grid connection applications with your electricity distributor
Small-scale Technology Certificate (STC) claims with the Clean Energy Regulator
Compliance documentation and post-installation administration

As part of that work, we disclose relevant information to energy regulators, electricity distributors, retailers, and government rebate bodies — the organisations your installation cannot proceed without. We do not use your information for marketing, and we do not sell it.

If you want to access or correct information relating to your installation, the fastest route is through your solar company, since they own the relationship — but you can also contact us directly and we will help.

**Cookies and tracking**

This site uses:

Analytics tools that tell us how visitors use the site — which pages get read, where visitors come from, and what devices they use. This information is aggregated; we are looking at patterns, not individuals.
The Meta (Facebook) pixel, which lets us show ads on Facebook and Instagram to people who have visited our site, and measure whether our ads work. Meta's own privacy policy governs what Meta does with this data: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy
Functional cookies that make the site work properly.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.

**Who we share information with**

We share personal information only with the service providers we use to run our business, and only so they can do their job for us. These currently include:

Our customer relationship management (CRM), job management, and email systems
Booking and scheduling software
Payment and direct debit providers (for our clients)
Website hosting and security providers
Advertising platforms (Meta, Google) as described above

Plus the regulators, distributors, retailers, and rebate bodies described in the section on our clients' customers.

We do not share, rent, or sell personal information to anyone for their own marketing. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

**Overseas disclosure**

Two things you should know:

Our delivery team is based in the Philippines. Team members there access client and customer information to provide our services. They work under confidentiality obligations and our internal data-handling standards.
Some of our software providers store data overseas, typically in the United States, under their own privacy and security frameworks.

**How long we keep information**

We keep personal information for as long as we need it to deliver our services and meet our legal and compliance obligations — some solar compliance records must be retained for set periods under regulatory rules. After that, we delete or de-identify it.

**Security**

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold — secure systems, access controls, and limiting who can see what. No online system is perfectly secure, but we treat your data the way we would want ours treated.

**Your rights**

You can ask us at any time to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Correct anything that is wrong or out of date
Delete your information, unless we are legally or contractually required to keep it
Unsubscribe from any marketing — every email we send includes an unsubscribe link

To do any of these, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days.

If you believe we have mishandled your information and we cannot resolve it with you directly, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.

**Changes to this policy**

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
